A FENDI bag and a bad attitude. Fall/Winter 2018/2019 Ready to Wear

Since the early 80’s Fendi has been associated with Hip Hop culture, solidified with the rapper L.L. Cool J’s hit “Around the Way Girl.”

However there’s also no secret that there has been an oversaturation of Fendi lately. The logo has been seen everywhere and on everyone, in short, our timelines have been inundated with it.

Despite the obvious, Fendi manages to pull off a dainty collection

The 2018 Fall campaign uses beautiful, diverse models and the tones are earthy; showcasing the colors green, brown and camel which work together and on anyone.

The shots were done by none other than Karl Lagerfield and beautifully so. I’m also impressed by the fabric that Fendi is using – wool, rich leathers such as calf skin and my favorite, but easily soiled material, suede.

I love fashion, I love drama, I love celebrity culture. Keep up with me here:

Pittsburgh Steeler’s Makeup Look feat: Fenty Beauty Killowatt “Trophy Wife”

Like a kept wife who just got her husband’s credit cards smile is the wattage that Rihanna’s color “Trophy Wife” will give to your look.

High voltage, sexy and striking this color is. The product is a highlighter, however, I myself being a woman of a certain age, used it as an eye shadow. It fit perfectly in with the Steeler’s football teams’ colors- gold, black and white. “Trophy Wife” stands on her own.

FACE SHOTS

Just in case you’re in the market for a red, white and blue look.  SIDEBAR: I STRONGLY believe in natural looking brows. ALSO I NEVER FILTER OR MANIPULATE MY TECHNIQUE.

You can find the silver plated hoop earrings here.

I LOVE the result. The look is relatively simple, the only thing you work hard at is  blending because we want the makeup to look like there was hardly any work involved. The blending technique is effortless with the  brands I used together.

BASE: My favorite primer is a glitter primer, but I use it to for my colors to adhere- it is Too Faced “Glitter Bonding Glue” I use a white base and to avoid creasing I bake with Laura Mercier “Translucent Loose Setting Powder” in that order.

EYES: Clinique “Wear Everywhere Greys” palette on the lid (the 5th color from the left) make sure to pat on-also before going to next step add the 5th silver color to transition seamlessly in the BH Cosmetics “Foil Palette” (the color is not named but it’s the darkest blue) MAC “Swiss Chocolate” in the crease as a transition color and MAC “Naked Lunch” as highlight. BLEND BABY BLEND!

LASHES: Ardell “Wispy Natural” lashes and for drama I added blue Make Up Forever glitter on the lash line.

FACE: Smashbox CC Crème in the color “Medium Dark”

LIPS: NK Wine (discontinued-once I find a compatible red, I stick with it) with a red beauty supply gloss atop. Any brand will do, just make sure it’s a true red.

When Black and White Stripes Give Life featuring Ralph Lauren; LabelMePosh; Fashion Nova and Free People

When a shirt has an attitude! I am in favor of stripes, as long as they don’t leave me looking like an umpire. This top has accomplished the alternative masterfully because the shirt features horizontal and vertical stripes, it even has the nerve to have outlets made in it for your fingers to peep through. SEXY! The top is form fitting so I decided to wear white form fitting jeans and to round it off black riding boots. I feel like a sexy (albeit) tall jockey.

When the look is bold I like to take a minimal approach to the shades and jewelry. I wore some not so basic black shades with bottomless rims and a minimalist necklace with crystal detailing that creates a cascading effect down my neck.

The shades and jewelry are here, the top is no longer available but from Free People, the pants are from Fashion Nova and boots are Ralph Lauren.
